A drone airlifted wounded Ukrainian soldier Kostiantyn Vlasenko to safety after he spent 491 days at a frontline position in the Kharkiv region. The 49-year-old said both legs were badly injured and he amputated one himself because it could not be saved. He called fellow soldiers killed while trying to reach him heroes. Vlasenko had sheltered in a cramped boiler room before his Oct. 4 evacuation.
