PoliticsWhy Israeli Gen Z voters are drawn to the far right

Israel will vote next Tuesday to elect a new government, in its first election since the Hamas attacks of 7 October three years ago. More than half a million first-time voters are expected to cast ballots. Many see the vote as an existential choice about the country’s future identity and security. Surveys indicate about three quarters of new voters identify as right-wing or centre-right, benefiting far-right parties.
