Society‘They accept a murderer and a rapist?’: McGill students divided over controversial admission

Some McGill law students are urging the university to let convicted murderer Jeffrey George Ewert return to his studies while on day parole, as his admission continues to divide students. Ewert, now in his 60s, began studying law there in September. Convicted in the 1980s of second-degree murder and attempted murder in violent attacks on two women, including a 15-year-old, he spent 40 years in federal prison before receiving day parole.
