# Kyiv says Russia-China-US summit would prolong war

> Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said on Monday that a summit involving Russia, China and the United States would encourage President Vladimir Putin to keep the war going. The Wall Street Journal reported that Putin proposed meeting US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping next month to negotiate an end to the war on terms favourable to Moscow.
