> Six US Democratic lawmakers are urging Secretary of State Marco Rubio to raise concerns about alleged excessive force against protesters during his visit to India this week. Rubio will skip New Delhi and travel to Jamnagar and Mumbai, where he is due to meet External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Tuesday, Oct. 20. The countries seek closer economic and strategic ties despite differences over India’s purchases of Russian oil.
