World2,400 arrested in France’s worst street violence in decades

French President Emmanuel Macron said violent protesters would face justice. Protests over high prices and problems with public services have led to 2,400 arrests and nearly 1,000 police officers being injured, while buildings were burned and shops looted. Clashes broke out again in Paris and Marseille, where riot police stopped attempts to ransack businesses.
