ScienceStrong El Niño brings exotic species closer to California shore

California’s strong El Niño is boosting fishing and drawing rarely seen species, including longfin bigeye fish, whale sharks and hammerheads, closer to shore. Sea turtles have also nested on its beaches for the first time.
