World7 dead, dozens injured in explosion and fire at CFB Wainwright in Alberta

At least seven people were killed and dozens injured when an explosion and fire struck Canadian Forces Base Wainwright on Saturday, Oct. 17, according to military sources. Canadian Armed Forces sources said a live-fire exercise hit a gas line or well on the base, triggering the blast. Winds gusting up to 100 km/h fueled flames that spread beyond the base.
