> Students and workers rallied across France on Saturday to protest high living costs, inequality and inadequate school resources. The movement began in September at high schools in Paris’s northern suburbs, amid teacher shortages and deteriorating facilities. Student Amouri said demonstrations were necessary to be heard. Emmanuel Macron urged “calm and respect” ahead of the protests.
