> Thousands of university students and staff, trade unionists and opposition activists demonstrated peacefully outside parliament in Buenos Aires on Thursday against President Javier Milei’s cuts to higher education spending. Dozens of mostly hooded protesters then broke away, throwing stones and other projectiles at police, who responded with tear gas and water cannons.
