Nearly one in three deaths in Singapore is linked to heart disease or stroke. Because cardiovascular conditions can affect Asian patients differently, while much research has relied on animal models and Western populations, Singapore’s new Centre for Integrative Human Cell Research and Translation (CIPHER) aims to address the gap.
