SocietyThree children and one teacher killed in Oregon elementary school shooting

The Bend community is mourning after a gunman killed four people, including three children, at an elementary school, police say. He first fired at a truck, then shot through the school’s locked doors to get inside. Officials and lawmakers are also on alert after suspicious letters containing white powder were sent to Capitol Hill and elsewhere in the country.
