PoliticsWhy did Trump ban a livestream of the Fort Hood shooter's execution?

US President Donald Trump said the public will not be able to watch the execution of Fort Hood shooter Nidal Hasan by livestream. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced the plan last week, drawing criticism across the political spectrum. Hasan, an army psychiatrist, was convicted of killing 13 soldiers at a US military base in 2009. His execution by firing squad would be the first US military execution of its kind since World War II ended.
