PoliticsAssoc Prof Eugene Tan on enforcement under the Transboundary Haze Pollution Act

Singapore’s Sustainability and the Environment Minister Grace Fu says the country is keeping open the option of acting under the 2014 Transboundary Haze Pollution Act. It allows legal action against companies responsible for haze pollution in Singapore, including when the activity occurs overseas. Convicted companies can face fines of up to S$100,000 per day, capped at S$2 million.
