WorldEU summit agenda puts budget, Ukraine war, energy prices and China trade in focus

European Union leaders are meeting in Brussels with the bloc’s budget, the war in Ukraine and energy prices on the agenda. They will also seek to build on last week’s agreement for a sustained response to surging Chinese exports. The EU recorded a US$400 billion trade deficit with China in 2025 and is on track to exceed it this year.
