WorldSyrian court sentences two to death over 2025 coastal massacres

A military court in Aleppo sentenced two people to death for their roles in mass killings in March last year. Two defendants were acquitted, while others received prison terms over the killing of hundreds of civilians on Syria’s west coast. The 10 defendants included former-regime loyalists and members of the new government’s security forces, marking the first trial of government-linked personnel over violence.
