> Thousands of Colombians protested President Abelardo de la Espriella’s policies, voicing concerns over human rights, democratic freedoms and social spending. Unions, teachers and Indigenous groups joined demonstrations against the government’s security approach and proposed anti-terrorism legislation. Critics say new measures could restrict peaceful protest and breach constitutional protections.
