New White House press secretary Katie Zacharia has presented herself as a lawyer, but does not meet the requirements in her home state to use that title. At least one watchdog group has asked the State Bar of California to investigate. She has a law degree from Pepperdine Caruso School of Law, but there is no evidence she passed a bar exam. She also claims a credential from China, though it is unclear what it is.
