> Explosions were reported in Ethiopia’s capital in October, prompting the U.S. Embassy to warn Americans about possible long-range attacks on military sites. Analysts say a new war between Ethiopia and Eritrea is highly likely. Fighting in early October also ended a four-year ceasefire between Ethiopia and Tigray, while claims of Eritrean troop movements and drone attacks remain disputed or unverified.
