> The National Assembly passed the bill on Tuesday by 503 votes to none. La France Insoumise deputies were the only ones to abstain, objecting in particular to the removal of protections for foreign women. Supporters fear the more conservative Senate could dilute its key measures, while the government says it will safeguard the bill’s ambition.
