# Hungarian MPs scrap Orbán-era anti-LGBTQ measures

> Hungary’s parliament has amended child protection laws to remove measures that stigmatise gay and transgender people. LGBTQ and human rights activists welcomed the move but urged changes to other laws from the Orbán era. The measures were part of the 2021 Child Protection Law, and this year’s Budapest Pride march went ahead without restrictions.
