> Police detained leaders of the youth-led Cockroach Janta Party and about 20 volunteers after they crossed barriers to enter New Delhi’s Jantar Mantar protest site. They were demanding Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar’s resignation over voter-list revisions that critics say benefit Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s BJP. Police had declared the site no longer an official protest venue.
