> French President Emmanuel Macron said the navy detained the shadow-fleet tanker DF Peak on October 12, more than 450 nautical miles south of Réunion. Authorities suspect it was sailing under a false flag and illegally carrying fuel. It reportedly flew Benin’s flag and was bound for Chile’s Cruz Grande port.
