# Cyberattack hits refrigerators in French supermarkets

> A cyberattack caused refrigeration units at hundreds of French supermarkets to heat up, spoiling fresh and frozen food estimated to be worth millions of euros. More than 100 Coopérative U stores and at least 300 Intermarché and Netto stores were targeted. The Paris prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation.
