# Ukraine’s Sybiha says Russian assets are leverage only if Europe uses them

> Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha urged Europe to use Russia’s frozen assets in the EU to support Ukraine, saying simply holding the money provides no leverage. He called direct use of the roughly 200 billion euros a fair approach and urged shared responsibility rather than leaving the burden to Belgium. He also called for Europe to end dependence and act with one voice.
