> Donald Trump said Sunday that Russia and Ukraine had agreed to an immediate ceasefire covering energy, but offered no details. Ukrainian officials said they knew nothing about it, and Volodymyr Zelensky said Ukraine was ready to accept the truce if Trump and Putin had negotiated it, asking when it would begin. Trump made a similar announcement on September 14; the Financial Times later reported he may have spoken prematurely, with sources saying Putin did not want an energy deal before winter.
