> Republican and Democratic lawmakers condemned the Pentagon’s plan to livestream former US Army Major Nidal Hasan’s execution by firing squad. Hasan was sentenced to death for the 2009 Fort Hood shooting. Some lawmakers called a public livestream disgusting and barbaric, while one Republican praised the decision. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said the execution is scheduled for December 3 at the military base.
