> Ethiopia and Eritrea blame each other for confrontations in Tigray as international actors call for restraint. Reports confirm Eritrean forces are present in Ethiopia; Addis Ababa has urged the UN Security Council to demand their withdrawal, warning it may have to defend itself. The two countries’ escalating rhetoric and their allies could widen the conflict into a regional war.
