> Russia has demanded U.S. sanctions relief in talks over a possible energy ceasefire with Ukraine and has sought to link it to a Black Sea truce, officials familiar with the discussions told the Kyiv Independent. The demands come as Russian attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure intensify. A Ukrainian delegation is due to meet Trump’s envoys on Oct. 9 to discuss both ceasefire proposals.
