> US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth says Nidal Hasan, who killed 13 US soldiers at Fort Hood in 2009, is set to be executed by firing squad on December 3, with the public able to watch online. Donald Trump approved the plan, but legal experts say a livestreamed execution is unprecedented and its legal basis is unclear; Hasan’s appeals are not complete.
