> Egypt’s Sada el-Balad TV reported that Israel barred members of Palestine’s central election commission from entering Gaza to prepare for parliamentary elections, contributing to the postponement. Palestinian National Administration officials are still registering candidates, a process that can be halted only by an official executive order signed by President Mahmoud Abbas. A previous report said Palestinian factions agreed in Cairo to delay the legislative council vote, scheduled for late November.
