> Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko advised residents with friends or family outside the Ukrainian capital to consider leaving temporarily as shelling intensifies. He said the city is preparing backup heating and storing fuel, food, and water for winter, but those measures may not suffice if air defenses cannot stop the attacks. Klitschko ruled out calling for a full evacuation, saying that would serve Putin’s goal.
