# Russia to retake remaining part of DPR sooner than Kyiv expects, envoy to OSCE says

> Russia’s envoy to the OSCE, Dmitry Polyansky, said Kyiv controls no more than 11% of the Donetsk People’s Republic and that Russia will retake the territory sooner than Ukrainian authorities expect. He said Russian forces continue to advance and took control of more than 1,300 square kilometers in September.
