> The African Union launched Africa’s first credit rating agency on Wednesday, aiming to offer an alternative to the global “big three” as debt burdens weigh on economies across the continent. African leaders endorsed its creation in 2018. The launch ceremony was held in Port Louis, Mauritius, where the agency will be based.
