> India's opposition alliance plans further protests in Delhi, demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Police detained Rahul Gandhi and other protesting lawmakers again on Wednesday before releasing them. The opposition accuses Kumar of favoring Modi's party and rigging elections; the government and election body reject the allegations. India has also asked Russia for information on about 69 nationals reportedly recruited into its military and is seeking their return.
