> Saxony-Anhalt’s newly elected parliament is holding its first session more than four weeks after the far-right AfD won almost 44% of the vote. Lawmakers are due to vote on AfD nominee Tobias Rausch as speaker, with the populist BSW backing him. Civil society groups are protesting, while the foreign minister warns that climate change could fuel extremism.
