> Downing Street says RAF Fairford is safe after the Pentagon moved about a dozen B-1 bombers back to the United States. US media linked the withdrawal to a new threat, following an incident involving three suspicious vehicles near the Gloucestershire base. Counter-terror police are investigating; six men have been arrested and released on bail.
