> Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Afghanistan’s current government, led by the Taliban, had brought the country’s territory under control and was governing it quite successfully. He said the authorities were waging an uncompromising fight against terrorist groups, killing hundreds of militants and foiling several high-profile attacks, including those targeting foreign citizens and diplomatic missions.
