> Spain’s prime minister, Pedro Sánchez, is due to hold a press conference amid expectations he may call an early election to address the housing crisis. Parliament’s rejection of two emergency relief measures prompted tens of thousands to protest over rents and tenant protections. Up to 500 French schools also remain closed after nationwide protests over classroom conditions.
