> A Teikoku Databank survey found that 195 major Japanese food makers raised prices on 3,153 food and beverage items in October, by an average of 10%. Higher oil, energy, logistics and labor costs, along with a weaker yen, are spreading through the food chain. Real wages fell 1.4% year on year in September, further weakening household purchasing power.
