# Binance to hold some Brazil crypto deposits until users explain the funds

> Binance will require Brazilian customers to disclose the purpose and counterparty type for crypto transfers sent abroad or received from nonresidents from Nov. 1. Withdrawals cannot proceed without the questionnaire, while incoming deposits may be held or returned. The exchange will report the transactions monthly to Brazil’s central bank under Resolution BCB No. 521/2025, adding a new compliance checkpoint for cross-border crypto flows.
