> Tens of thousands have protested across Spain after parliament rejected two housing decrees from Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez’s minority left-wing coalition. The measures sought to protect vulnerable renters, curb speculation and extend leases. Rising rents and an 87-year-old woman’s eviction helped fuel the protests, while reports suggest Sanchez could call elections as early as November.
