> China welcomes Russian President Vladimir Putin’s attendance at the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting in Shenzhen this November, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said. Asked whether the leaders might meet on the sidelines, Guo said head-of-state diplomacy provides an important political guarantee for steady China-Russia ties and that Beijing is ready to work with Moscow for fruitful results during the APEC China Year.
