> Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and right-wing Senator Flavio Bolsonaro have ended their campaigns ahead of Sunday’s tightly contested first-round presidential election, both expressing confidence in victory. Polls show Lula still leading but by a narrowing margin, making a runoff on October 25 increasingly likely. The campaign has also been marked by accusations of US interference and scrutiny of Bolsonaro’s financing.
