> Democrats enter the final month before the US midterm elections with a surprisingly favorable outlook in contests for control of Congress. Republicans are spending heavily to defend vulnerable seats, while President Donald Trump’s approval rating has fallen to 31 percent, its lowest across his two terms. Voters continue to prioritize the economy, with immigration and corruption also prominent concerns.
