> Russia’s Investigative Committee says it has opened a criminal case over the alleged U.S. “misappropriation” of funds belonging to businessman Konstantin Malofeyev. U.S. authorities confiscated $5.4 million in 2023 and transferred it to the State Department to support Ukrainian veterans. Malofeyev calls the seizure theft and accuses U.S. officials of taking some of the money for themselves.
