> Thousands of French students protesting education standards, teacher shortages, crowded classrooms and dilapidated buildings disrupted more than 560 schools on Friday. Clashes, fires and arrests were reported in cities including Paris, Montpellier, Nantes and Marseille, while at least 65 staff members were injured. The justice minister said the unrest had moved beyond student demonstrations into a public-order disturbance.
