> A proposed Iranian bill would bar ships linked to Israel, states deemed hostile by Tehran, or vessels carrying military cargo from transiting the Strait of Hormuz, a parliamentary security committee spokesman said. Ships from non-hostile countries would need special permits from Iran’s armed forces General Staff. The bill awaits a plenary vote before possible review by the Guardian Council.
