> The United States has delivered two F-16V Block 70 fighter jets to Taiwan, part of an $8bn deal for 66 aircraft that was delayed after repeated requests from Beijing to halt arms sales. Taiwan is seeking stronger defences against a feared Chinese attack while growing concerned about the Trump administration’s commitment to arming the island.
