> Thousands are expected to rally in central New Delhi demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over the removal of voters from electoral rolls. Opposition leaders and critics say the revision disproportionately affects minority voters and question the Election Commission’s independence. Police have deployed heavily, barricaded entrances and imposed restrictions on public gatherings.
